PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Honey Grove City Council will meet on Monday September 15, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Honey Grove City Hall – 2nd Floor to consider the following:
Public hearing to hear citizen’s comments for proposed:
A. 2009 Property Tax Rate of .825000/$100
$ 0.4270 for the purpose of Maintenance & Operation
$ 0.3980 for payment of Principal & Interest on Bonds
“THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.”
“THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE THE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $ 9.95.”
B. 2009-2010 Budget
“This Budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $17,971.72 or 4.44%, and of that amount of $8,443.46 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the roll this year.”
Members of the Public are encouraged to attend the hearing and express their views.
